Wandsworth helps schools find their assets

As an authority how can you encourage your schools to prioritise managing their assets and becoming software compliant? Easy, lead by example...the Wandsworth way. Following substantial testing in schools and the City Learning Centre Wandsworth LA made four positive moves to emphasise the need for schools to get their inventory in order. One, have the CLC subscribe to Parago. Two, write to all the schools recommending they subscribe to Parago. Three, give assistance in downloading the discovery agent to schools. Lastly, they arranged dates for training at the CLC to ensure schools are making the most of Parago. The first training day received excellent reviews and a second day is already being planned

Parago helps schools towards FMSiS certification

with Secondary schools now facing FMSiS visits and Primary Schools not far behind let Parago help you get the thumbs up at the audit. That's the action Millais School in Horsham, West Sussex took and it payed off on a recent visit from the FMSiS auditors. A girl’s school of 1500 pupils, Millais have invested in technology with around 500 computers. With investment in other ICT to match you can imagine the task of keeping an up to date inventory. Millais wanted a system that would automate their internal audit process for ICT and non ICT assets as well as address the software compliance issue. It seemed that finding a computer and software discovery system that linked with a bar coding system in one database would be too much to ask. Not any longer, Parago and ParagoMobile gave them the complete solution. Read full Millais case study…

Middlesbrough subscribes to Parago for Primary Schools

"Following successful pilots at two schools Middlesbrough LA have subscribed to Parago for all their Primary Schools. An overwhelming vote from the advisory team approved funds being spent on Parago over other school projects. Recognising the need to keep PC and software data up to date was just one of the reasons for selecting Parago. Like so many Primary schools however, the idea of being able to keep records of all other assets on one easy to use system made Parago the only real choice. To ensure schools maximise the potential of Parago a training day is being planned for November."
