Badminton Invests in Asset Management
Badminton School is an independent girls school located in Bristol. The school excels in its field including its supplementary resources. With over 400 pupils the demands on retaining and developing the IT infrastructure has become an ever challenging task. Utilising the features within Parago, Badminton has established a complete IT auditing system within the school to track and manage these valuable assets.
Like many other schools Badminton originally recorded their main IT assets manually using an excel spreadsheet. With this method records were increasing difficult to keep up to date and fully accurate. "The primary reason for us to invest in Parago was to have a system which was very easy to use and updated regularly. Recording our assets via a spread sheet was becoming unmanageable," says Andrew West, Network Services Manager.
"We could see the value in this solution for our school," says Andrew. "Parago provides immediate access to information regarding the kit we have, for example instant reporting for insurance and auditing requirements."
A busy school environment demands an efficient IT strategy that adapts to current and future requirements. An accurate IT audit with information about location of assets provides an extremely useful resource when planning and supporting a large IT infrastructure. For schools an IT audit is very important when collating data for PAT testing, Insurance premiums and the general book keeping of assets.
"Parago provides us with immediate access to information regarding the kit we have and where it’s located, with instant reporting for insurance and other auditing requirements," states Andrew. "The asset manager is excellent and is a product that provides good functionality and reporting, with lots of potential that is set at a realistic price for schools."
