Parago News - Autumn 2009

Welcome to the Parago Software Autumn newsletter.

The past few months have been a busy time for the team with further improvements to Parago, welcoming new members to the team and also forming a number of partnerships with leading resellers.

Parago enhancements

Since our last newsletter, Parago has experienced a number of exciting enhancements.

These developments have all been in-line with our client user base recommendations, so we hope they benefit you all greatly. Remember they are all FREE OF CHARGE to subscribers!

  1. Helpdesk – a function that permits members of staff to raise a 'ticket' to ask questions about their PC or asset, or alert a member of the support staff to a problem.
  2. Disposal rights system – a function that ensures that all assets broken, lost or recycled are logged. A member of the school's management team can track and approve a safe and environmentally friendly disposal process.
  3. Permissions control – building on the development of the multi user system we have now added permissions control as defined by the Parago super user.
  4. Software licence manager – in line with legislation we have added software expiry date and prohibited software alerts.

Parago Software forms partnerships with leading resellers

The summer of 2009 saw Parago Software close the deal with another reseller; SBL, a specialist in delivering a range of software licensing, PC hardware and information assurance services.

Our relationship with Misco has gone from strength to strength; it is the first education reseller to rebrand Parago under its own name. Not only that, Misco now offers direct support services including SAM managed services.

Software asset management, in particular, can often be a daunting prospect for schools and colleges, so why not transfer your day-to-day licence management responsibilities to Misco to ensure effective and efficient operations.

In this current economic climate, consider the substantial financial savings that could be made through managed services!
